So the title track will be "Writings on the Wall" sung and co-written by Sam Smith.

I just happen to listen to a song of his last night, didn't make it 30 seconds in and I stopped it. Ugh...
I guess I'm not the only one who's not a fan.*
* My usual "Am I the only one..." prohibition is waved on account of the joke.
I hope whoever they cast next is in their late twenties or early thirties, that way they'll be 45 for their 7th film in 2031.

Well, George Lazenby was 29 when he did his film. Had he stayed on he very well could have done his seventh film when he was 45 (or thereabouts).
I was under the impression that Craig was contracted for 5 movies. There was an interview for Skyfall where he said something like "They've got me for two more..." or something like that.
Ah well. If SPECTRE ends up being his last, he'll go down in my book as one of the best. Possibly my favorite. Well done.

I was disappointed to hear that Sam Smith was singing the title song. His voice is uneven and raw, and he has very little control over his tone and prefers to wail like a cat whenever he wants to show emotion. Booo.
Looking over male performances for title song tracks, there aren't a lot of good ones on the list.
Tom Jones of course set the standard with "Thunderball" but Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die" is also fantastic, both as a stand alone song and a Bond song.
"A View to a Kill" and "The Living Daylights" are also serviceable tracks, and have a great 80's sythn-pop feel.
Chris Cornell - forgettable. Jack White - terrible.
Just let Adele do another one folks...please.

Yikes. I loved Skyfall. First Bond film in a long time that felt amazingly authentic, AND nailed the visuals, the humor, and the villain.
I also loved Adele's theme, the best since "GoldenEye" by THE Tina Turner.

Skyfall was almost great, but sloppy writing let it down. I can't remember exactly where apart from the end where M was spotted due to the gamekeeper, a canny old sort, waving a torch around on the moor as they escaped. Ridiculous.
I didn't like Javier Bardem or his character much either.
As to 'THE' Tina Turner, I don't like her or her song much. The trouble with Goldeneye and Skyfall is that they both want to be Goldfinger. Skyfall pretty much IS ! Both perfectly servicable though...
The Bond film I've LOVED recently was Casino Royale. Pretty much perfect in my book !
