"James Bond 23" officially slated for 2012!

It is possible that enough footage is completed for that trailer. There really only seems to be one or two scenes depicted with the rest being an action collage. Didn't they start filming in December?
 
I thought it was a little early for a trailer, but then again with these big summer movies we usually see trailers a year before release. With that mentality, Skyfall needs to play catch-up.
 
I foresee a teaser trailer sometime next month or by the end of April. Not before...but I've been surprised before. We've only had a handful of set pics emerged so far after all so who knows.

Yes, I thought exactly the same. It's a little reminiscent of The Dark Knight Rises and how it is rumoured to jump ahead 8 years from TDK, with rumours of Batman having retired in the interim - a mere two movies after he Began!

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they're doing, that Skyfall is going to take place a bit later into Bond's career than we've been so far.
 
I thought it was reported that SkyFall is supposed to take place a year or 18 months after QOS? I could swear this was reported, either here or somewhere else.
 
I do find it perplexing that apparently Skyfall has Bond retired since the ending of Quantum of Solace seemed to suggest he was coming back to the service.
 
Yeah. There's a bit that is perplexing about SkyFall's plot. The trust issue again, not following up on Quantum (for me since it was first mentioned that Quantum wouldn't be in the film is the biggest) the retired thing...but I'm sure all will be explained soon enough!
 
Well, they made no bones about Casino being influenced by Batman Begins, so perhaps they're taking their cue from The Dark Knight Rises this time out. Though Craig has signed for more movies, whereas Bale and Nolan are calling it quits with Batman, so they should be more careful to do their own thing.

My Irish Girlfriend when I asked her if she knew what you meant said she hadn't a clue and that coat Craig is wearing, it's not chav like in the slightest. It looks big, warm and comfy and I wouldn't have said no to having a coat like that earlier. plus, it has no sports logos either.
