Jackman talks Wolvie 2, confirms Aaronofsky

Looks like a reasonably faithful plot making use of all the correct characters in some form. No needless characters that I can see. It will all depend on the execution. Wolvie 1 was a fairly dumb, violent, children's movie. If I can ignore it and enjoy this one instead I'll be happy.

I think Fox took advantage of the fact that it was Gavin Hood directing the first movie, someone they probably thought they could manipulate and make suggestions to. I don't think that will happen with Darren.

If Aaronofsky can't make a great movie out of this, Fox shouldn't be allowed to make superhero movies anymore.

I keep getting Mariko confused with Yuriko. Yukio as bodyguard, thinks they'll cast Devon Aoki to semi reprise her role from Sin City.

Yeah I guess that casting will be the next significant step for the film after Darren signs his deal. I wonder when the official announcement will occur? Probably sometime soon.

Not a bad brief synopsis.
On the other side of the story is a Japanese man, man Shingen, whose father was Master of the Hand. Rather than letting his son take on his title, Shingen’s father kills himself with the hope that Logan will be the one to become the next Master of the hand. Shingen also has two children – Mariko and Kenuichio.
The Hand, very cool!!
I hope at some point, even if its only on screen for a brief time, Logan is in disguise or whatever and wearing a patch. Someone asks him his name and he says "Patch". I'd even settle for someone mocking him and referring to him as "Patch".
