"John Harris?" How can you be writing about nitpicks, and get a detail wrong that's in the IMDB byline? And it's hard to see Khan's mere appearences as being a reference to TWOK, when he's notably one of TOS few reoccurring villains.
I'm curious, did anyone watch the Colbert ep for context? The writer at RS admits he was the head of that Vegas panel, and he only quotes the one line "There were too many nods to...” I'm not saying the journalist is lying or being duplicitous or anything, it's just he obviously only addressed the part that particularly interested him and it's left me wondering if any other Trek stuff was discussed. Surely JJ didn't just randomly start talking about STID in the middle of a conversation about Vaders helmet or something.
