Apparently this is for real too, if the IMDB entry is to be believed. :guffaw:

This is certainly an innovative way to relaunch your otherwise dead acting career. I'm looking forward to this, which is more than I can say about any other Jean-Claude Van Damme movie.

Huh...I'm actually interested in seeing this. The video is dramatically different than what I was expecting to see!

This could quite possibly be the best movie JCVD has ever made. It's like Free Enterprise... with JCVD.

It's almost as if JCVD teamed up with Charlie Kaufmann and Quentin Tarantino. I'm interested from the trailer, though if it's a french film, I'll probably have to wait for the DVD.

I read today that the showrunner for Chuck wants Van Damme to play a villain on that show next season.

Actually JCVD has been regularly cranking out decent actioners since his demise as a big screen star.

Most of his last 6 or 7 movies have been much more watchable than the high budget fare he was previously involved in (i'm looking at YOU Timecop!). He's put on a half decent performance in a couple of them too. He tends to go for revenge type movies, or often playing a bad guy seeking redemption.

If you want conclusive proof of his superiority as a low budget action star watch ANY of the last 6 Seagal movies, and then watch any of the last six Van Damme movies and you'll see what I mean ;)

I agree. Most of his recent movies have been decent. Solid plots. Not totally dependent on his fighting skills.

Seagal's movies are dreck. Absolute wastes of celluloid.

Hey, what do you have against fat people? It's not Seagal's fault that he needs stunt doubles, body doubles (and not even for sex scenes, just regular scenes!) and doesn't do some of his own voice looping.

Actually, I guess it is... :)

But that means I have to watch 12-14 movies! A day plus worth of my time. I think I'll just take your word for this and keep an eye out for JCVD on Chuck or this movie if someone makes a thread on it.

I forgot all about this one.

Hopefully it's coming out on R1 DVD soon as I completely missed the limited U.S. theatrical releases back in November. My Google-fu couldn't turn up a DVD release date. :(

There's a preview screening here in Ithaca on the 31st for some students here. I'm going--should be interesting. I think it's still traveling around the art house circuit.
