iZombie season 2 discussion thread

Plus there will be another six episodes to fill out this season. Nice to see the support from CW on it.

Nice to see Liv actually trying to resist the brain-of-the-week's influence rather than just totally succumbing to it. I feel that too often she just becomes the victim and makes no effort to retain control.

Hmm... given these writers' penchant for puns, it's probably not a coincidence (in reality) that Liv's recipe for consuming what turned out to be a stalker's brain involved celery. Given her need for intense flavors, it's hard to see why else they'd have her eat celery.

I liked the moment when she realized that she had accidentally consumed a Crazy Stalker brain instead of an Innocent Wedding Planner brain--and seriously considered trying to upchuck the bad brain before it got into her system.

Nice to know that there are some brains that she balks at eating.

I want to see an episode where the victim's head is missing or sufficiently destroyed so that Liv has no brain to consume, and she has to try to solve the case without any zombie visions at all.

i thought it was interesting to put her in a situation where she had no access to brains...unless she cracked open a skull.

Took me a few minutes to get what you were referring to, despite having read THE CELERY STALKS AT MIDNIGHT years ago.

Completely missed it on the show.

But what is George R.R. Martin doing now? :)

Ravi...

If only Liv knew that it's Gilda who is playing mind games with her, she would totally go all full-on zombie mode!

Now the mystery of Clive has been cracked, a little.

First of all, it was fun seeing former Power Ranger Rose McIver getting back into superhero mode this week. I like how she just totally committed to that deeper "narrating hero" voice throughout the whole episode. Even in scenes where she was acting and speaking more as Liv, she still spoke in that lower register.

Second, The Fog's belt buckle looked like it came from a Christian Bale Batman costume.

So it's confirmed -- Major isn't killing the zombies, he's putting them in suspended animation in the belief that a cure is on the way. And now that it looks like a cure is nowhere in sight, that's not likely to end well. (What if the power goes out in that cold-storage place?)

I also liked her ''narrator'' voice as well.

It was nice to see Blaine. I don't think he was in the last episode.

I feel a little bit better about Major's killing spree now that I know he isn't actually killing anyone. I did feel bad for the prostitute though. What a sad existence.

Speaking of Major, how many times are he and Liv going to break up and then make up? It's exhausting!

I found it odd that it was a Christmas episode and no mention of Liv's mom and brother, or Peyton.

I enjoyed the very obvious superhero musical cues whenever Liv was in superhero mode.

I found it odd that Major spent the whole day decorating Liv's apartment for Christmas and whatnot, but still didn't bump into the roommate.

Downer of an ending though. No cure in sight, and Major will return to being a zombie eventually, which is slightly good news for his and Liv's relationship, but bad news for all the zombies he's been freezing, which surely won't sit well with him. So get ready for more depressed Major.
