I've reset my Trek-citement to "simmer"

I have stripped images and themes from the new Star Trek film from my desktop and have reset my interest level to "simmer." I will, of course, still keep up with the latest news and rumors, but I just don't feel I can maintain the level of excitement I had before the release date was changed.

Time to simply pass the time for a while.

I also have turned down my enthuiasm but I think I'm at "warm" as simmer is too much for me right now. I might reach simmer about October or so but maybe not even until January 2009. I feel let down.

Again, do we need a new thread for every brain fart EVERY poster has regarding this new movie?

Where is the thread on possible lint levels to be seen on Kirk's uniform in the new film?

How the hell can you follow conversations when a new thread appears every ninety seconds?

Why do I care that some anonymous person in another country has altered their desktop theme or removed their tribble quilt cover from their upper single bunk bed?

This is starting to become an issue mods.

People are letting this date change thing get to them to much. Im looking forward to the film as much as before.(Though I never got overly excited in the first place) Its only five more months,time passes quickly. By Christmas time or even earlier you guys will be spouting off again.

Well, I wouldn't have put it the way you did, but you do have a point. There are plenty of threads about Trek XI's release date being moved back, so I'll close this one.
