I still think the film is a continuation from original TOS.
That may be a bit hyperbolic. The guy makes one move and all of a sudden he's the second coming of Rick Berman; Or if you will, the third coming of Gene Rodenberry. Who's to say the guy will even be back for the sequel, for all we know the next one could be directed by Simon Pegg. When people start referring to TMP as Star Trek RW, I'll consider it.
How about just "Trek Redux" 
I say we use the year, since that's how it's listed at IMDB. Star Trek (2009).
Or, based on what we'd like pedantic fanboys to do, we could call it ST:FU.

ENT => oldENT (or ENT? could be both...)
TWOK => oldTWOK
TMP => oldTMP
Star Trek XI => Star Trek
TOS => oldTOS
TNG => oldTNG
DS9 => oldDS9
VOY => oldVOY
ENT => oldENT (or ENT? could be both...)
TWOK => oldTWOK

Simple: ST.
It'll probably just be STXI.
