I've been in traffic jams, but THIS is insane...

Worst I had wasn't really a single traffic jam.
I was going home to Pasadena from LAX--that goes through LA, no matter which route you go. Listening to traffic reports (very common in LA), EVERY freeway had at least one accident, and there's a lot of freeways through LA! I took streets: north until I hit bad traffic, then east until I hit bad traffic. I got to East LA and recognized things because Hubby and I had been through that (bad) neighborhood recently. That got me onto Huntington Blvd (the old Route 66) and from there on out, it was just regular street traffic. A trip that normally took no more than an hour at that time of day took 3 hours. Had I stayed on the freeways, it would've been at least 5 hours.

Fucking amateurs, these Chinese. They should try the M25 Heathrow Junction on a Friday evening, if they want to see a proper traffic jam.
It's a British traffic jam; i'm sure it's very well-mannered.
