iTunes Library

Hey, I could use some help. Today when I fired up my computer and started my iTunes it said that the file was corrupted and that it saved my library as iTunes Library (damaged). I re-uploaded my most recent library configurations only to find that my music was largely intact, all my playlists had been erased, but all my purchased items were gone. I was PISSED! Anyone got a way to help me with this issue?

Your purchased files should still be intact, along with the rest of your music (which I presume you ripped from CD). It'll just be a case of finding them on your hard drive, then re-authorising your PC to play any files that have DRM tied to them. You'll likely have to rebuild your playlists from scratch though.

How do you re-authorise a PC to play DRM files?

You can do it from within iTunes. There's a menu command to Authorize a computer, and also one to Deauthorize it.

Also, you could just try to play a DRM'ed file. If your computer isn't authorized, iTunes will ask to authorize it.

Is there anyway to put your iTunes account onto a new computer? Say if I get a new one can I just download iTunes, log in and get my iTunes purchased library?
