It's Star Trek Night at the game!

There is a Star Trek theme at AT&T Park (SF Giants) tonight. Should be fun. I hope they do it right. Good thing I didn't miss this before I have to go home!

anyhoo, has anyone here ever seen Trek shindigs like this at a sporting event? Did it go well? I haven't ever seen a ST night before although there seem to be a lot of Star Wars nights. I wonder why that is.

...and so easier. Hence, more popular. (Nothing wrong with that). It ain't Foundation Night. A Canticle for Liebowitz Night. David Lynch's Dune Night. (I could go on )

Well the ST night was a total fucking bust. There was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it Discovery promo, plus the Giants players were shown (on the video board) with Trek graphics during their at-bats.

But apart from that, nothing.

SW nights have entire pregame shows. They put some effort into it, at least.
