Like Belgium, you mean?Maybe Paramount's been reading all the whining by American fans and they decided to premiere the movie somewhere with a more positive outlook?![]()

Gah!
I just noticed that Australia, New Zealand, France, and a few other places will see the movie BEFORE it opens in the States! (Worse with A and NZ, since they're about a dozen hours AHEAD of the US anyway, clockwise! They'll get it a day and a half before the US does!)
It's just not fair...

There may be waffles to be found in Brussels, sirrah, but Star Trek will be seen in Belgium, France and the French-speaking parts of Switzerland before anywhere else, according to this list.Nah...everyone knows Belgium waffles.

Japan won't see it until June 6, as things stand now. There may be waffles to be found in Brussels, sirrah, but Star Trek will be seen in Belgium, France and the French-speaking parts of Switzerland before anywhere else, according to this list.Nah...everyone knows Belgium waffles.
In those countries, new movies are released on a Wednesday. Japan will be one of the first countries to screen it.
Since the US MAKES the movies, we should get them first. Intl. money is a secondary thought.

Nemeshit is still regarded as the nail in the coffin for TNG. So you're just proving that if Americans reject Star Trek, then that's a catastrophe that spells its death knell.Recall that "Nemesis" flopped in the US, but did quite well internationally when it was released two and three weeks after the US. Despite the wave of US negativity and apathy towards that film.

Paramount must be hoping that opening ST XI earlier internationally that domestically means that no one outsid the us will be turned off by negative US reviews.
