MOD CHANGES: It's been a pleasure to moderate the TNG forum, but...

... "All Good Things" must eventually end.

I thought I'd let you know that I'm going to be imminently retiring as TNG forum mod. Thank you all for making my job very easy over the years!

I've been thinking about stepping down for about a year, and with the release of the S1 blurays next week, it seemed the perfect time to hand over the reins to a new moderator. I can guarantee that you have an absolutely top-notch mod taking over from me, and I hope you'll be as generous in your patience with them as you have been with me.

I'll let T'Bonz make the announcement of who the new mod actually is in the usual way when she has a chance over the next day or so to pull the software levers that make it official.

But I wanted to let you guys know first that it's happening. I'm not leaving the board or anything dramatic like that so I'll still be posting as usual. You can't get rid of me that easily.

Thanks again for all the fun; here's to more of it as a non-mod!

Its me, its MEEEEE! OK, I'm not really THAT excited but I must admit that TNG is my favorite Trek series. Holdfast has raised the moderator bar very high with his wit and wisdom. I won't even try to step into his shoes. Instead, I'll tiptoe in wearing my own bunny slippers and try to keep the peace, handle the contest stickyswitch (I love that term) and do other mod stuff. When I get a bit more time, I'll tell my story of my initially reluctant acceptance of TNG and how it grew.

Please bid fond farewells to brother Holdfast as he sails into the virtual sunset.

PS: In a blatant abuse of outrageous Mod power, Let's make this tread a Sticky for ten days or so.

As someone whose been the very fortunate recipient of your good graces and humor, I'm sorry to see you go Holdfast. Glad you're just stopping the moderating and not leaving the TrekBBS. I'm not letting you go that easily, I still expect to see your humor in the TNG Caption This on a regular basis!
