It's 2011 and still no Alien Anthology in New Zealand!

Everyone else has it, why haven't we?? I've seen it available for purchase online through two kiwi online stores but otherwise no one has it in the shops!

Very frustrating. I want to help the local economy beat the recession but they're not doing themselves any favours!

I went to a party on Waiheke (island) once, nearly 15 years ago, and after we'd all got our bedding together in the lounge, maybe 20 or us, this guy who claimed to have seen Aliens over 160 times begins to recite the movie from heart verbatim. It was fun for the first ten minutes, but the bugger wouldn't shut up. Was that you?

Perhaps so, but you get no sympathy from me whatsoever so long as you're surrounded by gals sporting awesome Commonwealth accents and I'm not. :p

Yes but you've got Hobbits. And wizards.

FINALLY found it on the shelves. Apparently it was released early March, almost 5 months late/after Region A got theirs.

It's unfortunately just the four-disc set, no sign of the bonus discs 5 + 6 that were offered initially.

And for some strange reason, Aliens precedes Alien in packaging order, and this wasn't some random occurance; it's like that on the four sets I looked at!

Regions. it just seems so petty. Do regions really stop anyone? What's the point? Some people might still own a single region dvd player form 10 years ago but honestly, unless you're magnificently ignorant every one should be buying multizone dvd players and only assholes would be still selling single zone players.

It's just a little bit 1984.
