It is now okay to tell cops to "Fu** off"-says court

I would never tell a cop to F.O., not because the cops here are taser-happy or trigger-happy, but because they've got a job to do like everyone else. If I thought a police officer had acted inappropriately or abused his authority, I'd deal with that issue through the proper channels.
 
Everyone has a constitutional right to free speech. You can say fuck you to any cop or any government official just like you can say fuck you to any corporation that deals with the public. If you are unhappy with their service, you have the right to express your opinion using as much colorful language as you like.

But cops don't give a shit about your rights. My buddy called a cop a fucking pig so they grabbed his neck and choked his ass. Fortunately the rest of my friends were eyewitnesses so eventually the cops let him go. But if they can shove you into an alley where no one can see, you're fucking dead. They will kick the shit out of you and then they'll charge you with assaulting a police officer, even if you're not fighting back (usually you don't even have a chance cuz they swarm your ass).

And if you're black, you get it the worse. Then brown ppl, then Asians. But sometimes this can change depending on the neighborhood. Like if you live in a neighborhood with a lot of Asian gangs and no black gangs, then Asians get it the worse. But in mixed neighborhoods with Asian gangs, black gangs, brown guys and white boys and they all cause the same amount of shit, then the blacks get it the worse.

The cops themselves are just another gang. They steal your weed, they collect protection money, they beat the shit out of ppl for mouthing off, they shoot unarmed ppl and cover it up. And forget about reporting to the "proper authorities". During a gang fight between a bunch of Asians guys and white boys, the police showed up and shot and killed one of the Asian guys (the cops are white, so obviously they're gonna side with the white boys). Then the police made up a BS story about how the dead Asian guy was armed with a knife and tried to stab the officer. A so called independent investigation found there was no knife at the scene and the cops changed their story. But in the end the investigation was quietly dropped. And who are these "independent investigators"? Former police officers

To serve and protect is the biggest joke. You should see the difference in response time to a 911 call between you're average Joe Blow and a business owner that gives free food, cigarettes, or money to cops. You give the cops something and the smallest shoplifting case and you get 6 cruisers in 90 seconds. Average joe reports a crime (assuming you're not being held hostage or something really crazy), and you get two cops after an hour. The guys that robbed you are lonngggg gone.

I don't wanna say all cops are bad. But I've just seen and heard so much shit that I can't just believe these are a "few bad apples"

No not really. It's all in the name of National Security don'tcha know. Johnny was caught speeding, pulled over and handed the cops his license and registration. He was then pulled from the car, thrown to the ground and cuffed then beaten and tazer'd before being put in lockup without cause.

Before the dust settled he had racked up quite the impressive list of charges including some that carried national security implications. It was all thrown out when several someones came forward with video and stills of the incident.

How do I know this? I was in the car behind his. :)

This is "routine" police-work in this region, the cops are nothing more than armed thugs. I hate it.


If I thought a police officer had acted inappropriately or abused his authority, I'd deal with that issue through the proper channels.

Great way to get the entire "system" turned against you. I don't advise it.

Are you trying to mock me? Cuz you don't have to take my word for it. Please, by all means, head down to your local clubbing district on Friday and Saturday nights and start telling the cops to fuck off.

Good luck with that. Cops have killed people and walked off scot free. How far do you think your going to get when a cop just acts inappropriately?

Sometimes it depends on where you are..

CHP in this area are very much afraid of lawyers...one unjustified arrest nearby cost the State of California $10 million in damages...and where I live, you can't tell who the attorneys are from the meth heads...

Most cops here are VERY careful with the powers of arrest..and with the use of force..

Odessa, Texas however..was another matter...

We had a car salesman pepper-sprayed because he was slow in getting out his papers to show he worked for the dealership..and the cop was not buying the too nervous to find em quickly... so he pepper sprayed our salesman and searched the car himself..and found the papers..he left our salesman by the side of the road to recover alone.. with not even a "sorry 'bout that"

Added to the fact that I was detained without "probable cause" by the very same police department mentioned above..


To me it varies with the degree of "public disconnect" within the department..

some view every member of the public as an enemy...others actually take the motto on the side of the cars seriously..


IMHO BART cops think that every backtalking drunk needs to be taken down to a wall and shot.. showing the huge amount of public disconnect within that department...

Not at all. We don't have a local "club district" because the police, acting as our appointed saviors and moral guardians, shut them all down. If they see more than two teenagers on a park bench, it's a "situation" someone is getting arrested for something. If a group of students just happens to meet up and walk together down the sidewalk, it's classified as a "potential riot situation."

I wish I was making this up, I'm not making this up.

You would think the town would be 100% crime free with cops like this... yet car break-ins and drug trafficking runs rampant here. Cops are too busy harassing normal citizens to actually... you know... go after criminals.

I think that video prove just what the police have to put up with on a daily basis, i mean why would a grown adult think it was ok to walk up to somebody be they the police or not, and tell them to *******, its juvenile and stupid and I'm sure the police have got better things to do that deal with idiots like this.

That's not exactly how free speech works. It gives you the right not to be harassed or persecuted for your beliefs or expression of those beliefs. It does not give you the right to say anything to anyone.

And if you try it with a judge, they will charge you with contempt.

Plus the fact that some kinds of speech are simply inappropriate, if not technically illegal. For example, you don't tell dirty jokes to a nun.

Exactly, you both are correct.
Free speech doesn't give anybody the right to be irresponsable with their words.
 
Cops are people too, I don't understand the need to be mean to them, whatever you put out is what you'll get back, be respectful.
