Is Trek remastered being dropped by stations?

It looks like Ch9 in NY has dropped Trek. Are stations not airing episodes anymore?

My local station just ran "SPACE SEED-remastered" this weekend, in step with the schedule.

Maybe you should call the station and ask their programming dept. what's up.

cbspock, I thought the same thing at first, but My9 aired Space Seed at 6pm Sunday instead of 11 this week, it looks like to make room for something else in prime time. I know the guide everwhere (except TVGuide.com) had it listed incorrectly as TDM repeat, but they actually aired Space Seed.

Actually, the official list (at startrek.com and trekmovie.com) shows Space Seed was the episode set to play this weekend...and it did.

Copy and paste from trekmovie's list:
11.24.07
Space Seed 024 repeat

The OP was asking because the regular showtime in NY for 'this week's episode' is Sunday at 11pm with a repeat of last weeks at 6pm. Instead, this week they showed 'this week's episode', Space Seed at 6pm. The sched. should have looked like this:

Doomsday Machine 6pm
Space Seed 11pm

but instead looked like:

Space Seed 6pm (but said Doomsday Machine on the guide)
Hollywood Homicide 11pm.

Wasn't aware the station ran repeats a week later.

What you'd said was 'They were scheduled to run a repeat of TDM'.

I was saying that even that would have been wrong, not knowing it was a "repeat" of the previous week. (Space Seed was a "repeat" too...from earlier in the run.)

^ Ya, they just started doing the reairing of last weeks scheduled show a while ago, it's a nice thing for anyone who missed it the week before. I hear ya, they were both technically 'repeats'.

Now I wish they were showing it in true HD with 5.1 surround.

Welll... since the original episodes were only monaural, you're really not missing anything that wasn't there to begin with.

Lol, *POP* goes that can of worms :) I'm just sayin', if they are selling the eps. in HD with 5.1 now, then it would be nice to broadcast them like that.

Sounds more like your local station is just being a douche and tinkering with its schedule lineup. Might want to call them and pester someone about this.

Meh, who cares, I've been really underwhelmed with the new CG.

A bitt OT but ya, I'm of two minds about it. I'm glad they did it, not sure if they needed to do every episode. I mentioned to friends at Paramount years ago that they should pick maybe 5 TOS episodes that lent themselved to a redo and do special editions.

Maybe feature them on CBS as special events. Doing the whole series for HD is nice, but burying them, even the really good ones like Doomsday Machine, Space Seed and hopefully Ultimate Computer and Ent. Incident in sydication, often in the middle of the night is a shame.

Luckily(so far)Remastered episodes in my area are on in broad daylight at either 11 am or 1 pm on weekends. And we get two per week, so at present my local Fox and CW affiliates are getting strong enough numbers and feedback to keep the show in a good pair of slots.
