Exactly. A lot of people just don't want to make the leap to looking past the basic makeup of something to see ideas and concepts as fresh as they were forty or more years ago.
That would be like going back to 1997 and saying Batman was obsolete because Batman and Robin was the one of the stupidest damn things in the history of civilization.
