So last night, i dropped a bunch of excedrin and a mt. dew to combat a headache. woke up with a racing heartbeat and even MORE of a raging headache.

Thinking about calling the doctor....or is it just the HUGHE amount of caffeine in my system?

Very, very likely it's the caffeine. With a heart attack usually you'd have some kind of pain, the arm. the jaw, the chest. You also tend to get nauseous, sweaty, and out of breath.

Yeah, feels like someone jammed a 3-inch diameter steel pipe through your chest.

Oh wait. That was chest pain due to hypertension due to stress. No heart attack.

I have it on very good authority that sufficient stress and hypertension can mimic heart attacks enough to freak out cardiologists. It took 8 months to clear that one up.
