Is this Star Wars pic real?

I was just searching on Google images for Star Wars pics and I saw this-

I've never seen it before. Is it real? I wasn't sure if it was some photoshop job, or if they really got all the actors together. Pretty awesome if it is, but then I just wonder why I've never seen it before.

I believe that was from a Vanity Fair article. I seem to remember that my Dad and stepmother, who have a subscription to VF, had an issue with this particular picture around the time of ROTS. A pretty impressive job getting them all together like that.

I've seen pictures of Skywalker Ranch where Lucas does have statues of the characters in some rooms. Maybe they just moved a sculpture of him into the shot?

And there's a real irony in the phrase "Yoda looks slightly fake."

If any character there were digitally added, it would have to be Jar-Jar, at least the head. Though maybe that's a sculpture.

I don't know, I've seen some video of Ahmed Best wearing a full Jar-Jar costume, including headpiece. Whether or not they used it much, they clearly had one.

I remember reading that the photos were done in sections, or groups and then the whole thing pasted together. I dunno how true it is, but that's what I recall. So, to answer the OP's question, it's real and a fake! (possibly!)
