Is there some law against black people travelling through time?

I'm half way through the first season of Seven Days.

Should be finished in a couple days if I wimp out and sleep.

Appreciated the lad on Seaquest DSV as Riker-PLUS.

But he's forever twiddling his thumbs waiting for this good ol'boy to hop into the sphere and backstep because "Parker" is never drunk, hungover, down with the flu, broken his leg or recovering from a gunshot when he's ever really very very needed.

Can't a brother ever time travel?

And I seem to recall Uhura running around an aircraft carrier in the 1980's . . . . :)

So here's what I think.

Notice how it's always white guys traveling through time? White guys don't want to mess up history--they're always worried about that happening, and they try to prevent it because let's face it, history's been awesome to the white guy. We rule the fucking world, man. Who'd want to fuck that up?

You send a brother into the past, though? He might go back to the 1700s and tell everybody slavery is bad and wrong they better knock it off. Could cause all sorts of trouble. You just don't want a black guy in the past screwing things up for whitey.

Only white men are allowed to travel through time. Anyone that's not a white guy is there to just be comic relief or a romantic interest (in the case of women.)

(What goes on with gay time travelers is an open question, I guess.)

Because of the rising world population, by 2293, whitey is a despised minority in the Time Trax Universe. The first test monkey chrononaut from a decade earlier sitting on his laurels back in the future was black who told the new guy that being black in America in 1980 was an unimaginable horror.

Day to day sure, but "Lucas" went back in time because there was suddenly found fragmented historical records on who killed the X-Men.

Onslaught.

He saved the X-Men by creating the Heroes Reborn Universe.

:lol: Yes, the whole Onslaught thing is what I referring to. He did technically save the X-Men but you could argue he caused something worse.
