^this is the wiki informations about this idea. I think we can solve these complex questions concerning.. the universe's awareness and what it does or acts about this awareness.

https://futurism.com/the-byte/mathematicians-think-universe-conscious

^In this is the ideas that are current and being discussed between mathematicians now. so yeah things like universe consciousness would be difficult to understand since we --- happen to be in this universe as well.. ?

this above article being from may 4th update this year.. in this news informations
https://www.newscientist.com/articl...s-it-seems-impossible-until-you-do-the-maths/

https://www.semanticscholar.org/pap...roff/5de743fb9d7fe53114687ec1ed757cb7d5494172

^ this link is a paper from 2011 were they ask about the Consciousness of the universe..and neuroscience.. where there is neurological explanations of the mind perceiving the universe as conscious === I think this is all about how we relate to our reality with our intentions and what we know.

I think also the way to do this .. is by assuming the .. the universe is "not" conscious and if the universe was not conscious why would we even know or would our awareness even include ourselves as part of our conscious mean self awareness should not be possible if the universe is not aware of itself as well..== these ideas might lead to a conflict with the universe being conscious --//

Anyway I was not sure about making .. this thread to discuss this as I might of done this already like 3-4 years ago.. anyway.. It was not till I delved into this thread post that I could see there might be a need to discuss this with people for new points of view. OK ++

“The only dominant theory we have of consciousness says that it is associated with complexity — with a system’s ability to act upon its own state and determine its own fate.”

this person doing this talk.. about quantum ideas.. and parallel worlds in probable things that have no existence till we measure where it is then it is there. here it is the statement that = everything in the future is a wave everything in the past is a particle

I don't have time.. mmmm maybe I do..=== to look at this video by Vlatko Vedral from oxford --

just watching the lecture now.. that last youtube thing I posted..-- this led me to the quantum technologies site. --- in the UK I guess .. since the science in the states is like lost to trump nonsense.. I have now gone to the UK scene.. (poor US) -0- there is a link in the lecture I had to stop the video and type out the lecture as the slide show did not make it clickable at all-- :)

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-strategy-for-quantum-technologies

there were other links but not as interesting as a .gov link.--

this lecture seems to be about creating the quantum chip .. and real construction of molecular processing-- right.. real stuff going on back 3 years ago.. -- woe.

The document is from 5 years back.

Quantum computing is seriously under development pretty much anywhere where there enough scientists and engineers interested in the subject. IBM, Google/Alphabet, HPE, Apple (I believe) MIT, numerous universities and on and on just here in the USA. Then there's just about any decently "well-off" country in Europe, Japan, Canada, China etc...

Basic functionality has been demonstrated for quite a while and some serious applications are being considered for it.

Just one little site:

thanks for looking this up..== @StarCruiser

-right quantum computers is a big can of worms..-- I am looking into the site it seems nice.. - science daily. -- the idea that was interesting in the oxford lecture is.. about the quantum universe. going on.. --- where the universe is a quantum computer -- that it is aware of itself.-- and growing.-- again it is the integrating of quantum gravity into the quantum computer systems -- again that is more of an aside - then the focus, I am looking at - with a universe that is aware.--

sorry I had not checked the dates of some of this stuff. that is very important!

The universe definitely possesses consciousness in the form of human consciousness, primate consciousness, dolphin consciousness, elephant consciousness, dog consciousness, magpie consciousness. Some of those are reportedly even aware of the presence of a “universe”, making the self in self-aware much non-figurative. So while the universe probably doesn't exist, it definitely possesses awareness of itself. And it's utterly delusional.

I firmly believe as a race we're totally too stupid and limited to understand the universe and what not, if this is all a simulation, I don't think so, that the universe doesn't give anything about anyone should be quite clear...

As I think I've noted elsewhere, I'm a bit of a "Deist" (Like Thomas Jefferson and Napoleon Bonaparte) and in some ways, the idea of the universe itself as being sapient - and probably effectively "God" fits fairly well with that religion (if you want to call it a religion).

This seems about right @StarCruiser also, a couple episodes of star trek come to mind with this idea.. that one where they are in a void.. and can't get out.. the void is testing them.. .. it kills one the crew. --- the movie with/about God by trek... was not .. as much like this.. I guess.--

Deists are an interesting group. --

there is no -- separating us . each of us as a unique entity are from the universe as it is.. it is a part of us and we a part of it.. there is not a symbiotic type relationship but a directly part of and into this universe. .. going on!! there is no way to separate out one self from the whole thing.. there is no border or no not touching it.. .. we all realize this.. right? I mean yeah. :)

If the universe is sapient, it's a bit of a dick.

Calling "God" a dick is probably pointless. One of the salient points in Deism is the issue of "What does God want with us?". We don't know what God thinks, nor are we likely to be able to determine that by mere observation or through scientific discourse. We may have to die to find out...

What is God? (All religions have something to say on this.)
Why is God? (Most haven't even really touched on this.)
What does God want? (Most have asked, or attempted to define this one.)

We simply can't fully comprehend God at this point. Whether God is just a fabrication of our own, or a real thing, or something that can't be seen or measured or in anyway touched from our perspective...

While some of the things that have happened in this world might seem like "God is being a dick" (especially right about now), the truth is probably that we are deliberately left to our own devices to survive, prosper and improve ourselves. If we succeed, maybe God is pleased with this - if we fail...not so much...

Ah! But, which version of "God" is that?

The Judeo/Christian/Islamic God?

The version that the small number of remaining adherents to Zoroastrianism worship (may be the same, or not)?

One of the various Gods and demigods worshiped by Hindus?

And on and on...

In Hinduism, I believe the equivalent of a supreme essence is the Brahman -- sometimes referred to as Purusha -- the highest universal principle and the ultimate reality in the universe. This is not the same entity as the creator God in the Trimurti (Hindu Trinity) known as Brahmā.

Sometimes I wonder if a viron might be a bit in some program—the bacteriophage alone looks more like technology than biology
