Is The Coda Matrix The Nexus?

Could the Matrix that the alien tried to draw Janeway into during the episode "Coda" actually be The Nexus featured in the movie Generations? Supposedly, the Nexus is described as being a product of the Q Continuum, in some STAR TREK novel, or another - which, of course, is not canon. But nevertheless, must Q have his finger in every pie? I suspect otherwise. The Nexus even has that orangey glow, like what Coda's Matrix had. I'm convinced the two are, at the very least, related ... if not the very same. How about you?

Why would there be a ribbon traveling through space then? Why didn't Soren just find out where these gate keepers were and just off himself and join the nexus? I'd say no.

Interesting.
I actually enjoyed that episode and the way it ended gave me hope we were seeing a recurrent 'big bad' for Janeway and co to deal with.

Alas no. :(

Continuity on Voyager? Oh to wish Mulgrew and crew were 20 years younger today and filmed it now what would it look like? Borrowing a line from episode: One, Since I find complaining comforting, I'll no doubt find something to complain about. ;)

Is it not without possibility, then, that The "Coda" aliens use The Nexus for what that one termed as "nourishment," with a preference for feeding on "Death." The living that enter The Nexus, because they flew into it, or whatever, might prove ill-suited to their tastes ... which is why it's so dangerous and difficult to enter? To me, at least, it's an interesting crossover. VOY has already tied into TUC, with its Sulu episode, "Flashback" or whatever it's called ... so why not GEN, as well?
