Is the 11th Doctor gay?

Also, do you believe he is in support of Labor or the Liberal Democrats? I think there might be clues if we look closely.
Does anyone else here suspect that, prior to being Merlin, this Doctor actually went back in time and took the place of Abraham Lincoln? Lincoln without a beard looks too much like Matt Smith to be a coincidence.

The doctor moves around like Jack Sparrow. Fitting, considering that the first costume Moffat wanted was a pirate outfit.

I have a friend who, between his apparent lack of sexual interest in Amy and immediately thinking of the "good-looking" Geoff in "Flesh and Stone" and his appearing in Rory's bachelor party cake in "The Vampires of Venice," is convinced that the Eleventh Doctor is gay.

Well, he called Nancy's plans to steal food "brilliant" and "Marxism in action" in "The Empty Child," and he was awfully emphatic about the importance of the welfare state in "The Doctor Dances." And he's critical of the traditional straight/gay paradigm in the same episodes -- fitting, given how much he and Jamie McCrimmon flirted. So it's definitely safe to say that he doesn't vote Torry. I'd be willing to bet he'd be on the socialist side of the Lib Dems, but is probably very disappointed that Clegg went into coalition with Cameron.

You realise that not all Tories hate gays or the welfare state right?
Given the Doctor seems to hate big government and likes to see people take charge of their own destiny rather than having it all handed to them on a plate I suspect he's more right of centre than you might think
Clegg and Cameron are surprisingly on the same page on a lot of things.
Leaving aside the other two things which can at least be argued about... how does this tell us anything about the Doctor aside from liking to make unexpected entrances (and it was a very funny moment)?
Weell... he said he wasn't sure if it was "Marxism in action or a West End musical," but definitely that it was "brilliant."
