Is So. Cal safe?

ThunderAeroI

I have a business conference to go to in San Deigo May 10th and I wanted to make sure I'm not gonna die when I go down there.

So, Will Swin Flu be a large problem, and;
what do we know about the ganglyness of the town?

edit: changed month, im an idiot

Hopefully, the whole swine flu/streetgang pandemic will have been eradicated, eleven months from now :vulcan:

You're not going to Texas so you'll probably be safe.

If Swine Flu doesn't kill you, fires, mudslides, gang warfare, or massive unemployment will.

YOU WILL DIE IF YOU GO TO SAN DIEGO!

Do you have something against San Diego?

Also, I updated the month I will be there, its May not March - my mistake.

You will most likely be fine. Just wash your hands regularly and avoid sick people. It isn't the bubonic plague, even if it is a serious concern.

I live in Detroit, and I've never been shot and/or killed. If that's possible, I'm sure it's possible in Southern California as well.

As for Swine Flu, the only safe place is Madagascar.

 Do you even know where Texas is in relation to Minneapolis?

Not sure what you're getting at, Minneapolis is miles from Texas same as San Diego. San Diego is on the Mexican border area but the cases in Texas leads me to believe that the Swine Flu is in the east of Mexico near to the Texas border and not near California.

What I'm getting at is that Ft Lauderdale has alligators, that's what. It has as much to do with the OP's question as your statement about his not going to Texas.

He wanted to know if swine flu down in San Diego would be a problem and based on the current outbreaks mostly taking place in Texas and that area of the Mexican border I said he'd probably be safe.

 The bottom line is you don't know and as such shouldn't even attempt to hazard a guess. Overall, he could travel to Texas and come out unscathed.

That's where the word probably comes into. Nobody can truly know but he asked the question and he got an answer.

I love how no one from San Diego has posted in this thread yet.

(oops...I'm from San Diego, guess that's over now)

If you're just coming for business, you'll be fine.

If you're thinking of moving here. It's not safe. It's awful, it's horrible. Turn and run away! (We don't need anymore people here!)
