I saw a commercial for Smallville being on Friday. Isn't that a one way ticket to cancellation? People go out on Friday and that will pull people away from the show. It seems like they want it gone with a move like that.
I didn't realize the CW had good slots.
I hope all of you are wrong about this death slot business with Smallville even-though they would cancel they would have to wrap it all up with a TV Movie at the end.
I've been a fan ,and loyal viewer since the begining of the series.
Also looking forward to seeing this season run its course, and taping it,and maybe even once I'm working again afford a VHS/DVD Recorder to take all of my tapes so I can burn them to DVD's for my own personal collection.
That's my two cents

The real death slot would be 10PM on Fridays. You know...the slot that killed Star Trek?
The next Superman film will certainly be helped if Smallville goes away soon.I'm almost convinced that the move to Friday at 9 PM was partly a decision made by Warner Bros. so that they can bring the show to a close this season and then take Superman off the air for a couple years to build up interest for a new film.

The next Superman director should ignore everything that Smallville did. Bryan Singer held summit meetings with Smallville's producers during the production of Superman Returns. Singer wanted his film to be compatible (to some degree) with Smallville. He wanted to avoid stepping on the toes of the TV folks. It was a nice show of respect but I don't see how it helped Superman Returns one bit.
This comes up every once in a while, but they were trying to keep them somewhat together according to an interview that Singer did with I believe it was the Superman Homepage but it's been a while since I read it.The next Superman film will certainly be helped if Smallville goes away soon.I'm almost convinced that the move to Friday at 9 PM was partly a decision made by Warner Bros. so that they can bring the show to a close this season and then take Superman off the air for a couple years to build up interest for a new film.

Um...I don't think that's quite right. He talked with the Smallville folks and invited them to the set, but I think that was about it. Besides, what in Superman Returns directly linked to Smallville?
