Is Reese Witherspoon a closet Trek fan?

It's just too bad there aren't many of them... :( :( :(

Terry Farrell and Jeri Ryan

Two examples of how to continue looking hot as the years roll on by.

I feel terrible saying this, but Marina... please take note.

I thought we were talking about FANS, not ACTRESSES?

True, I sort of misread it. . .but I'd hate to think that after 6 seasons of DS9, Terry Farrell isn't a Trek fan. She needs me to give her a damn good spanking if she isn't. :guffaw:

I believe Jolene Blalock is both a Trek fan and actress.

But to quote what I once read on the blog of someone who met her at a signing event, and I completely agreed due to the accompanying photo of her at said event, Jolene Blalock has a face like a slapped arse.

The long orange hair and fake tan look was a killer.

Yeah Hi I'm here....anyhoo, she just did the Vulcan thing because the new movies is Aliens verse whatever...
I doubt that's all it is....

A few years ago, she signed up for another board I was on - an RPG board - openly saying who she was. Almost nobody believed her, and the usual hecklers got onto her, trying to prove she wasn't who she said she was, and talking tons of smack about what a supposedly shitty actress she is. (I quite like her acting, myself.) Before long, she flamed out and left the board, and a lot of people assumed it had been some sort of troll from one of the board regulars using an alternate account.

At least, they did until shortly thereafter, when another member of her gaming group who was also on the board put the guy who ran the board in touch with Witherspoon's press agent, confirming it had been her!

She's a big nerd in disguise. Like Vin Diesel, who got Dame Judi Dench to sit down at his gaming table, briefly (but long enough to roll some dice), during the filming of Pitch Black 2. :techman:

Yes.

Ooh, that went wrong. But actually it reminds me of Chase Masterson's short membership on this board and a certain mod who banned her.

Actually I'm kind of a Reese Witherspoon fan myself. I loved her in Just Like Heaven which also had the great, great Mark Ruffalo. It's good to hear that she likes Trek. :techman:

Well first I'm sure a Star Trek nerd will hack into her comuputer and corroborate the above statement....secondly I don't equate Star Trek love with nerdom. Not everybody who likes Trek is a nerd...take me for example. :p

Wow, I'm sure you must find calling people you don't know liars, without any basis for doing so, a remarkably effective tactic for getting through life.

I can assure you if I wanted to make up a far-fetched story, or hell, if I just wanted to tell you an actual event from my life, I could do much better than a second-hand connection to Reese Witherspoon.
take me for example. :p
Okay. You're delusional. You're on a Star Trek message board. I hate to break it to you, but you are a nerd, geek, or some related species. :p

And I frankly don't know why you'd fight that. Be proud, my geeky brethren! :techman:

I just read a nice comment on the trekmovie.com website I think you might like...
'Finally a Trekkie can raise his head with pride and proclaim, 'Trek is cool… and I already knew it before it became cool.''

I don't think there is much "in the closet" about Vin Diesel being a sci-fi/fantasy/gaming geek. He brings it up all the time when discussing his various projects and there are anecdotes like this all over the Internet. It's the reason he formed his own game production company and is so into building a Riddick mythos.

I heard Mila Kunis from That 70s Show and Family Guy plays WoW and likes sci-fi.

Witherspoon is a decent actress and seems like a genuinely sweet woman, but there's something about her chin I don't like.

Darn it all...All I could see was the IS REESE A CLOSET.....I was so hoping for the L word!!!

Just kidding..I do like her. I didn't at first, but she is growing on me. One actress I have never cared for? Drew Barrymore. I just don't get why people like her...
