Is Martia a Changeling

I think we all remember Martia from Star Trek 6. Do you think that she was one of the 100 that was sent out?

No, I don't think so. For one thing, she called herself a Chameloid. Also, she only seemed to be able to transform into other humanoid forms.

And the transformation effect looked different from the shimmering orange that the changelings did.

So certainly not. :)

If you still can't figure it out, maybe Admiral Cartwright will explain it to you over a tasty bowl of his famous jambalaya.

Yeah, yeah, I got it now.On a side note, I haven't watched The Undiscovered Country in years and I had totally forgotten that. It's kind of cool that a niner and a TNG actor were in one TOS movie.

I think it is totally fair to speculate that she was a changeling. We only saw her change into humanoids, but maybe that is all she wanted to change into. She called herself a chameloid but maybe she did not know she was a changeling-look at how little Odo knew at the beginning of DS9. Sure her effect may have been different, but who is to say that all changelings everywhere morph exactly the same way all of the time?
