I love 'Just Tonight' & 'Make Me Wanna Die'. 
Me to, I also like Miss Nothing.
Miss Nothing and Make Me Wanna Die are brilliant rock songs.
But that's the thing, it's rock, or emo. A completely different genre from Gaga. Taylor may be more talented than Gaga at singing rock, but Gaga's better at singing dance-pop.
She's talented. And she really did her homework with regard to media manipulation and networked her way to all the right people who mattered to help launch her game. I remember when she first appeared on the scene... it all looked so contrived to me, despite the musical talent displayed. I didn't think she'd catch on as much as she has...
She has been compared to Madonna, and that's OK, but I still think Madonna was more talented. She wrote many of her own songs. She was a pop sensation in her own right, but took her own careful pace with it. Lady Gaga is milking every channel to the fullest, as fast as she can. When you do that, it can soon backfire once the material has run thin and the public can't be reeled back in for more. If Lady Gaga follows Madonna true to form, she'll continue progressing her art with the times (or be the trend setter) and stay popular for a good long while. If she doesn't... well, she doesn't have much to lose. She's already super filthy rich at this point.

Again, I don't listen to her...but the hype is all about how she's so 'creative'. Does that hype only relate to the meat dress-esque nonsense then?

Yep, she writes her own music which is just another reason to love her. Her songs tend to be very personal as well.
