Is It Wrong of me to want a wrestling game?

Pretty much only the WWE game.
And Rumble Roses, I guess... which, I like, for obvious reasons.
And hey, if you can find it, it's only like 10 bucks or less since it was almost a launch game.

I don't think No Mercy on N64 has ever been bettered.
Some of my best times as a gamer when I was a bit younger was spent playing WCW vs. NWO on N64. It was a system sparse of great games but the multi-player action was unrivalled up until that point. Ray Mysterio FTW!
Wrestling games are meant to be played with friends. Four of them, preferably.
I have hardly watched any WWE in several years now, I used to be a huge fan though.
I recommend Smackdown 2007 for the X-Box 360. It's fun to just throw in and mess around with, especially if you have a few buddies over. I'd stay away from the latest game though, Smackdown 2008 is one of the most disappointing games I've ever played.

I woncer if they remade "backyard wrestling"?
Wrestling gets something of a bad rap but it makes for brilliant multiplayer.
I'd tend to agree. I've yet to play a wrestling game with better gameplay than WCW vs NWO and the various WWF games that used the same engine on N64.
The best wrestling game I've ever played is WCW/NWO Revenge on the N64. I still play it to this day. If you still have your N64 then I would suggest you try and find a copy of this game on ebay. I was recently able to find copies of Mario64, Mario Kart64 and Cruisin USA.
I haven't watched wrestling in years, but I have bought Royal Rumble on the GC and Smackdown vs Raw 2007 on the Xbox 360, and they're fun games, especially when you're playing against friends and having a laugh.

Yeah, I remember the brilliance of N64 wrestling but frankly from there on it's gone downhill.
