Is it really hard to text someone back?

What I don't understand is the growing phobia people seem to have these days about actually calling people.

I don't understand it either. Like we don't spend enough time already communicating in writing on screens as opposed to actually hearing a voice or seeing a face. We are getting more impersonal by the moment, and I find it to be quite sad.

Texting serves the same purpose as email, really, and is just as useful. Often, I don't actually want or need to speak to someone, just to send them a brief one or two line message to ask/confirm something or let them know something. Instead of emailing, I text because even with the growing penetrance of email-accessible smartphones, the average person is still more likely to read a text first. Fast, simple, efficient.

I think everyone is misunderstanding me. I'm not saying I am demanding an immediate response. I'd just like some kind of response eventually.

Two things. 1) If you really want a response, give her a call.

2) The non-response probably means something! If you are unsure, again, try #1.

Actually, rereading some of your posts, it seems like you easily get bothered by multiple aspects of interacting with people. You might try chilling some!
