is Heroes getting S5?

I say the opposite. Get rid of Sylar. (and the writing staff) :D

It is this everlasting need the writers have had to keep justifying Sylars continued presence on the show that started all its problem. Sylar should have been killed off at the end of Season 1.

Oh cmon, you can't blame Sylar for the shitty writing! The writing would be just as shitty without the guy. :rommie:

However, the Sylar Problem is one example of the shitty writing. That they never 1) realized the guy wouldn't work as a character long-term and 2) didn't bother to sit down and figure out how to make him work, if they were determined to keep Quinto in the cast.

And there are certainly ways they could have finagled things to kill Sylar and keep Quinto, if that's what really was motivating all this.

Heroes needs a radical shake-up indeed. Fire the writing staff. Get rid of everyone except Angela and Peter or I read an interesting idea from the guy who plays Ando where he suggested Heroes could open up in the distant future next season and we meet a whole new generation of those with abilities decades later.

Sylar definitely needs to go.

Setting the show in the future would make the show more expensive though and I doubt that NBC would agree to that route. Except they let it take place in some sort of post-apocalyptic future. This is always a bit cheaper.

Here's the NBC renew/cancel index.

30 Rock and The Office are safe. Heroes may be safe because of overseas revenues and DVD sales. L&O SVU will probably be with us forever. They will probably axe everything else. Not that there's any reason to believe that their new lineup will do any better.

Isn't "30 Rock" the reason that NBC's such a mess. Not the show, the fact that it's actually "based on a true story"...

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

heroes is just worse and worse.

The carny people think they found a messiah to lead them to salvation?

Byron from Babylon 5 is 10,000 times the better choice than who they got in mind.

Idiocy abhors a vaccum too.

Good GORT! That last episode was painful to sit through! :rommie:

I might have to join the Kill It Already club. Now that the Head-Sylar and Faux-Nathan nonsense is over, there's nothing stupid fun to watch anymore. Just stupid boring. :p

James Kyson Lee has the right idea, just smack this show upside the head with anything. A few worthwhile characters can time-travel to a post-apocalyptic future - Ando, Peter, Angela and I'm not sure who else - it would be funny to see Mohinder trying to cope - and just place them in insane circumstances. It won't be good but at least it won't be dull.

^It will be if Captain Child Abuse Victim doesn't have anybody to copy powers from.

Not that he does anything with it anyway - constantly giving up useful powers like superhuman strength, superhuman speed, regenerative healing and flight for rubbish ones like precognitive dreaming.
