Is Forbin EVER going to do another kitbash!?

Apart from the slightly too large green dome on the top its a beautifully proportioned little ship. Excellent job.

Outstanding, Sir! Getting my space-opera lobe warmed up early this morning.

Could almost be a predecessor to Aridas' Kiaga class perimeter action ship.

By the way, are you an actual Perry Rhodan fan?

Nope. I know nothing of it beyond having seen the models.

Perry Rhodan is the largest SF book series in the world, it started in 1961 and its still being written, it has over 9000 items in print, the main series has past 2500 novellas and there are numerous side series and spin-offs.

I've actually read the series from 1 to about 800 and then here and there a few from the later era, its a marvelous universe and on the whole the writing quality is quite good, in universe technology and also the whole "scope" of the series surpasses anything in either Trek or Star Wars by an enormous margin, a cycle (kind of story arc) can be played out over several galaxies and take decades if not centuries, the main cast of the series are all relative immortal, they have a device that prevents them from aging and protects the wearer agains most illnesses but they're not indestructible.

A little downside is that its written in German which is probably been the main reason that it hasn't done much in the USA.

As for Spacejets from the series, those are what shuttlecraft are for Star Trek ships, they're much larger though.

I can't even begin to describe the whole series, its just too enormous...

@ Forbin: No need to post 3 in a row, John! That’s what Multi-Quote is for.

I answer as I read, if I multi-quote I'll forget what I was gonna say to the first one. The 3-post rule is designed as an anti-spam measure, and I'm not spamming, just answering posts.

Not to put Your awesome work aside, but I'd like to see more of that Rom if it's possible ?

It's a lo-detail CG I whipped together quickly in Bryce. Not meant to be seen clearly!
Well then, can I get a couple of renders of that CG mesh (if its not too much to ask)?

Quickie renders:

It's just a few stock primitives whipped together with some stock textures.

Awesome Thnx!
I really love Roms, and I like your quick render-sketch, mind if I flesh that shape out some?
BTW Happy New Year Mates!
Please try and be safe out there !

Go ahead and have fun with it! I made it up in about 5 minutes just to have something in the background.

I love how you've used the exposed/functional mechanical details to make the ship look like a real vehicle, not something that's designed to only look good on a TV screen.

I like the Perry, it's what NX-01 should have been, a small compact design. NX-01 seems like it could be after the original Enterprise's time as a frigate or light cruiser.
I really like how you have 5 people sitting in front of the Captain possibly controlling the ship. It should be harder to control a early starship, even in Picard's time you had two people at the controls. Sisko's Defiant was the first major ship with one person at the controls until Enterprise came around and rewrote the past with Mayweather doing everything. Even JJ Abram's alternate universe Enterprise had a large group on the bridge.

Nice ship! Heck of a skylight for that bridge!

I like that Romulan ship too. Fits right in with the Romulan War-era ship Greg Jein came up with for the Chronology.

That's what I was think of when I did that - a big cigar with wings. Bryce isn't the best modeling program, though, and that's all I have at home these days.

One thousand, three hundred and forty two nuclear war heads later and the Earth forces finally realized that all they really needed to defeat the Romulans was a really big badminton racquet.

^^^ Ewww...

That Romulan ship has some kind of a condition. It should see a dermatologist!
