Is CW trapped in the 90s?

they run Jake 2.0 on SyFy still, it's pretty good, Shasta McNasty was also pretty good, think Greg the Bunny with Mini-Me

Apparently The Vampire Diaries did pretty well last night, proving that teen girls (and their moms) are not over the pretty vampire boy thing yet.

I could get into the pretty vampire boy thing if Ian Sommerhalder were the only character on the show. It's the rest of the extremely insipid cast that ran me off. :rommie: I guess there really does need to be more than one character on a TV show...

If Vampire Diaries gets canceled, maybe the final episode can be the Winchester brothers staking every last one of them. :p

Don't tease me.

Dean taking an electric saw to the lead pretty boy's head like he did to the vampire dude on the boat in season 2, eppy 3 where the met Gordon the first time gives me goosebumps and chuckles.

Hmm. Jensen Ackles talking Ian Sommerhalder, with his all-new, tousled-haired, bad-boy look? Maybe I've just hit on the formula that could get me watching Supernatural at long last.

Instead of the Old West idea, the spinoff series should be, Sam and Dean move to NYC, and do battle with sexy vampire models and sexy bitchy vampire preppies. And then they move to LA...

HA! Dean would carve up pretty boy real fast. Stake. Then decapitate. That's how you kill the blue collar style Supernatural vamps. Hell, Temis, You missed Luther. Luther was the lead vampire of this coven in season one. Man was sex on legs and he didn't have the southern California hair gel look. He was supposed to have been around since Samuel Colt's time. He looked more like he belonged in the old West. Yummy.

Now that's true because most of the people watching it will be the young females the CW promises to its advertisers. That's why Gossip Girl and 90210, which always perform in the 2 millions, are kept around. Almost everyone who watches is a young girl.

V-Diaries (I refuse to call it VD  ) just doesn't seem like a guy's show. Certainly not the way SPN is.

It seems I've sparked a bit of a Supernatural vs. Smallville debate. So I just wanted to add that I do still watch Smallville and enjoy it to a degree. It's nowhere near as good as SPN though.

There is no debate, even if you watch Smallville. There's a reason those "Five minute Smallvile" posts were funny.

Whatever happened to those anyway?

The only good thing about The CW is Supernatural. ;)

QFT.

they need to bring back Shasta McNasty, Dilbert, and Jake2.0

I'd watch Dilbert. The others I would have never known to exist if they weren't advertised ad nauseum during commercial breaks for Enterprise back in the day.

Isn't Chuck basically a remake of Jake 2.0?

The person that did them didn't have time anymore I believe.
