Is anyone hoping for alien species that showed up in VOY, DS9, and next generation?

Then next minute you have Spock's comment in 'Space Seed': "Your world was on the verge of a new dark age...With whole populations being bombed out of existence."
That of course is a matter of perspective and how history decides to write things up. From a certain point of view (such as being underneath the bombs) we have spent the last couple of decades 'bombing people out of existence'. Certainly from the perspective of a future peaceful, united planet, it is a fair comment too make about turn of the 21st century Earth.

Another consideration is that Spock wasn't alway correct in his pronouncements.
Always a strong possibility, as his comments about women's hysteria in Wolf in the Fold will attest.

Andorians! Tellarites! Someof the background aliens from ST:TMP would be nice too. Saurians, Rigellians, etc..

No aliens from them series please. Instead I would like it if they expanded on the Gorn and Tholians and bring back the Suliban and Denobulans

Maybe one of the minor ones, whose names I can't recall. But please no Borg! Just like the Klingons, they were done to death.

I would love to see the (pre-occupation) Bajorans and Cardassians in a story that foreshadows the occupation (like Bajor refusing a trade deal with the federation because it finds its relationship with Cardassia too valuable.

As much as I hate fanwank, I actually love this idea. It could be done really well.

Because they've never met them before. Watch "The Tholian Web".

Nowhere in 'The Tholian Web' was it implied that it was the first time the Federation/Starfleet had ever encountered the Tholians.

In fact, Spock says 'The renowned Tholian punctuality.' at one point in the episode, implying they were at least known of.

The only thing said to be a first for them is the web they make. Which could just mean it is new technology for the Tholians.

Besides, the NX-01 Encountered Tholian ships in Season 2.

That's exactly what I thought when I read @the Sisko's idea! It feels too fanwank-y, but as someone who enjoyed the Bajoran episodes on DS9 I would love the opportunity to see Bajor before the occupation.

With all the changes they have already made I don't see why they would need to pay attention to some established line of dialogue from any of the older shows. If they want to bring them in then and they can make good use of them, then why not use them? A established alien name gives you instant fan interest that a alien of the week can't provide. PLus if the show is arc based then that means you will be taking a risk on building a whole arc on aliens you have never seen that might not be interesting to the fans.

That's why they should have a healthy mix of new and old. Also I kind of like the idea of exploring new aliens who might be crew members more than them going to a planet of the week and solving a problem and warping off at the end of the hour. That kind of Trek storytelling I think is kind of dated.

I don't know if legal/copyright issues would stop this, but I'd love to see some of the aliens introduced in the Kelvin movies. There were tons of interesting designs, and I'd love to see someone of Keenser's or Jaylah's species. Or even that crewman in Beyond with the claws on the back of her head.
I love Jaylah's design and would enjoy seeing more of her species!

Because they said they are going to.
Unless it makes a good story, but I doubt they'll do anything hugely lore breaking.

That planet with the 1930s gangsters... Update them to the 1960s and then stuntcast John Ham in there as an advertising executive.

OH! And can we please have the mystery of the Breen explained?

It can't be done. There aren't any Indian actors because India doesn't have any film industry whatsoever.
Maybe that's what the spin-off is... The Life and Times of Khan Noonien Singh - a Star Trek Bollywood Musical Extravaganza. The "I DO" scene between him and Marla McGivers alone, goes on for hours, such is the intricate choreography of 92 augmented party guests dancing.

Coming Soon to Netflix:
You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll get a slug in through your ear, eating your brain on your wedding night...

Beyond the Bajoran backstory also interested in seeing a 24th century Federation member as a separate major/minor power. I liked how Enterprise (especially Season 4) fleshed out the Vulcans, Andorians and Tellarites as distinct major/minor powers.
