Having watched several of Sylvester McCoy's DW stories on DVD, I just wondered whether the character of Ace, played by Sophie Aldred, is considered attractive? For some reason I wasn't particularly attracted to her in Remembrance of the Daleks, but then I saw her in The Curse of Fenric, Battlefield and Survival, and she suddenly seemed a bit more attractive somehow, particularly in the last two I mentioned. What do other people reckon?

It varies according to story and camera angle, but for the most part, yes shes fanciable. Especially (for some reason) in the Victorian tux in Ghost Light
I never found Sophie Aldred particularly attractive. *shrug*
YES! I fancied her something chronic in the day and still do. i REALLY want her to come back. she was the first modern companion.
In the last couple of episodes that you mention, the actress started wearing her hair longer, and started "maturing" the character. She became more of a woman than a girl, and generally many of us felt a little attracted to her. Especially in the 80's...
The stocking tops showing in Fenric didn't hurt.
^ Neither did the rubber catsuit she wore when portraying the 'New Adventures' version of Ace in a photoshoot some years later.
I always found her moe 'cute' than fanciable. Thing is, she just wasn't supposed to be that sort of character. I'm sure with a little make-up and the right outfit, that could change. 
I think I liked her more when she used to be an older woman, but Ace is still quite attractive even if I am not supposed to say such things about 16 year old girls.
Interesting enough, they actually have her at least 10 years older on the audios, claiming that Ace went away for a while and joined the army, but came back, so in those stories airing now, she is a woman and not a boisterous child.
Then again Rose in the beginning was practically the same age as Ace when the series was canceled, no matter the real ages of the actresses, and no one ever thought that 7 and Ace should hook up.
