IRS films 6 minute Star Trek parody

How come the bridge is from the original series but they're wearing TNG uniforms? The IRS can't even get Star Trek right!

As long as they're spending our tax money on this stuff, I hope they did a better job on the Gilligan's Island parody.

A government agency being chastised for wasting taxpayer money?

Must be from an alternate universe.

They seemed to do a reasonably serviceable job on the background panels and main viewscreen - I wonder why they made the nav/helm console and chairs look so wonky?

And yes, 24th century uniforms on a 23rd century bridge was quite jarring.

:sigh: Our tax dollars at work...

My question is - if U.S. tax dollars paid for it, then why aren't we being allowed to watch the full six minutes? This is where Kickstarter ends up; you pay for it and never see it!

I've seen the full six minute versions on both youtube and the CBS News websites.

Once you get past the "acting" and "special effects" it is odd seeing the mixture of uniforms. Red and blue in TNG-era, gold in TOS-era costumes.

The uniform mismatch was mentioned in the skit one of the crew mentioned there was a screw up at the dry cleaner or something like that.
