Iron Man 3 Discussion/Photos/ETC.

Not for these films. If he ever becomes Pepper's love interest as has happened in the comics then yes.
A subplot to be used later in the soft reboot, let's leave the status quo as it is for now.

If he becomes Pepper's love interest they should be off the Iron Man movies and become supporting characters in a Millie the Model franchise.

Kevin Feige already said they won't reboot Iron Man. When the time comes after RDJ leaves the role, they'll just recast like the Bond series.
I hope they are able to stick with that plan. I will love it if they are able to keep this Marvel Cinematic Universe going indefinitely, so that twenty or thirty years from now they are still releasing films in the same continuity as the current ones.

That doesn't sound good at all. The reason I just can't get into comics nowadays is all the hoops that writers have to jump through, heaping tons of dumb bullshit on top of retcons on top of retcons, just to tell a halfway decent story. The nice thing about reboots is that the films aren't saddled by twenty years of stories told before them.

I can't see them recasting indefinitely. At some point it's going to be ridiculous thinking that Tony Stark (whoever plays him then) is still doing all these things 20 years into the future.

Unless of course, they slow down the timeline of the movies.

Hey, James Bond still did all those things for forty years...

This is ahead of Comic Con which doesn't start till the 12th.

That image does, out of context, seem to be Extremis aka "nanotech armor stored in his blood/bones" which imo may be taking things a bit OTT.
Despite having just dealt with aliens I think the audience for this character appreciates the down to earth pseudo-reality about the armor, it's creation and application.

Hate to break it to you, luddite, but nanotech is real.

Yeah, I know that and you know that but it's still a bit out there for Joe Public if they even know about it beyond sci-fi films. That's my point.

Uhh, guys, I know what Extremis is. Extremis is a friend of mine. That's no Extremis.

Honestly, I don't get how this is evidence of Extremis.

Stark only stored the undersheath to the armor in his bones, not all of the armor. He can remote control the armor (which floats itself to him via it's own repulsors), but other than ehnanced/extra organs to ease the strain or operating the armor, there's nothing extraordinary about it.
