Bad timing for Samsung to have to put out a massive recall for exploding batteries in phones? Probably...
That was only for the larger Note series, and even then one battery manufacturer that didn't meet the standards needed.
But yeah, bad timing.

I wonder if the deal with Hanjin Shipping Co will hurt Apple as much as it does with SamsungPreordered my phone, but it is backordered.
Good question as my wait time seems extreme.I wonder if the deal with Hanjin Shipping Co will hurt Apple as much as it does with Samsung

Why not call customer service before you travel to the store? My shipment is months away.Well I'm a bit perturbed, my shipping date for my iPhone 7 Plus went from September 16th to the 28th. I'm going to go to the Verizon store and find out what happened.
In reality, it's more like Apple didn't design the 3.5mm headphone jack, so they don't want it on their phones. They can't make money licencing the rights to build accessories using that port. They don't want people doing anything with their phones that they haven't sanctioned/made money from. It's not just headphones, it's any other accessories that use the headphone jack to connect - payment processing dongles, for exampleI think it's hilarious they said it took "courage" to remove the headphone jack.
In reality, they just wanted to free up space inside the phone because hardware design is hard.

It's a little more sinister than 'saving space'.
Looking forward to your comments on it - after watching a few breakdown videos, one apparent feature is that Apple has strengthened the waterproofing on the iPhone 7 - which a welcome development.Received an email that my iPhone 7 Plus was shipped on Sunday. So hopefully I will have it by Tuesday.
I've heard and read various analyst's commentary that refers to the 7 as a "market tester" a way to determine the depth and breadth of iFanatics devotion to the iPhone. In addition, the standard finance agreement is two years long, so by time folks get around to paying off their last phone its scratched and slow, full of junk and without any interesting "new" features - so time to introduce an upgrade.real report is that they did this a year or two ago, but just really weren't advertising it. People are happier if they think it isn't waterproof and then it survives water rather than if they think it's waterproof, abuse it, and it doesn't hold up.
Removing the home button added better waterproofing levels, plus Samsung had been advertising it for a while now, so they finally came out with saying it.
Friend at work got the 7 the other day, and checked it out. Meh. I mean, it's alright, but at first poke, not really any different than the iPhone 6 I've already got. Slightly better camera (which was already fine for what I do), changes to the home button, about it. It was new, so noticeably faster at times, but really about it. Just don't get the push to get this one, it's a rehash that didn't add much.
