Just upgraded my 3Gs to iOS 4. If you have not done so yet, you can now get it from iTunes.

my iphone is being a mongrel - when I try and back it up before upgrading I get a backup failed message with the error # -402636802. Google and Bing not much help.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope you did a backup ny to long ago or have mobile me, because you will have to do a restore.

I'm really loving iOS 4, the multitasking is really good. Didnt think that it would make that much of a difference but I have been using it a lot already.

The camera on the 3Gs seams to be taking better pictures. The shutter seams faster and the zoom works great.

I downloaded iBookstore and loaded my novels from the iPad. It was great that where I left off my books on the iPad came over to the iPhone.

Now I can't wait to get the iPhone 4 on Thursday. Not sure what time I'm going to pick it up, thinking just after lunch. Pretty sure the lines will be bad. Only thing, my wife really wanted a white one but she will have to deal with getting the black. I can't wait to use FaceTime. My wife works long hours and I will be able to chat with her and let her see the kids.

Ended up wiping the phone and reloading a backup though I had to restore the apps but that's not big deal, just a bit of time.

unfortunately I'm on an iPhone3 so not going to see the real benefits of iOS4 (an upgrade would be nice but can't aford or justify it when I'm not working).
