I think it maybe ends a bit too quick, but wow. This intro makes me feel like a kid again. It even starts with the Columbia Pictures logo. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/48374.html I just really hope the game is good. I would hate to think they got the original cast back together for nothing.
Thanks for the link! I'm really looking forward to this. I hope the game will be great. I love the first film, in particular, and enjoy part two.
Looks great. I wish it was longer, it feels like they just cut off the ending and there should be more. I can't wait for this game. I'll get it on day one.
Actually that may be true. I was flipping through their list of upcoming releases and yes Star Trek Online is listed as available for preorder.
It is true. The retail markup on new games is only $5-$10. Gamestop would go out of business if they only sold new games.
I remember the first ghostbusters game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qK5HzRpoDI I don't know what this new one plays like, but if they've simply fleshed out the concept into a glorified shooter, then that would be a bad thing. The action part of this game really should be about team work: tracking/finding the ghosts, containing their movements, and then coordinating the team's use of streams and traps. Add to this an unfolding story, with puzzles to solve, as we get to slowly work out what the ghosts are building up to. And complete this with an overarching strategy layer, where the player is free to allocate time to investigate the haunting of their choosing, with some being more difficult than others, some advancing the story or giving information to help solve the puzzles, and generally have mixed rewards and advances that can be anticipated by solving the puzzles.
I remember that game too. Just about... I'm wondering whether to get the Wii version. I expect the 360 version to be better, but apparently Dan Aykroyd favours the Wii version because of the cartoon style graphics.
Hmm, interesting. I didn't know that. The one thing that has me interested in the Wii version are the controls. I can imagine it's great fun using the Wiimote to aim your Proton Beam at ghosts. Add in some force feedback, and there should be a pretty cool feeling of actually capturing a ghost yourself. Still, I'm also a sucker for the 360's graphics, so we'll see . When is this due, actually? Is there a definitive release date yet? I remember things were delayed somewhat when publishers changed.
I just read on a German tech site that the game is supposedly going to be released exclusively on the PS2 and PS3 at first. The 18th of June, it seems, was supposed to be the release date for all platforms but is now reserved for the Playstations alone. According to the article, there is no information as of yet on a release date for the other platforms. This website is the only place I've seen the news so far. But they're usually quite good, I think. Bummer!
I saw it somewhere too. Don't remember where though. Apparently the timed exclusive applies only to Europe, which seems odd.
