So, do you think the whole ship will be an apartment complex in space, or more like what we see in Star Trek VI, a bunkbed multi-person habitat, sort of like how life on the space shuttle is (only with beds.)

Makes little sense to me to give everyone their own quarters, especially in a future where they don't believe about posessions and property as much as we do now...

Of course the main officers will probably get their own living quarters, but it's one thing that's made little sense to me. The amount of space used for this ship.

A vessel of science, exploration, and battle shouldn't have rooms big enough for everyone to have a queen sized bed and desk.

Why shouldn't it? This is the future, after all. Just because submarines and aircraft carriers and space shuttles have to cram people into tight spaces doesn't mean we won't have the resources in the future to allow for spacious living quarters (and they aren't that spacious -- my apartment is bigger than Picard's quarters, and those were huge) alongside science labs and engineering and weapons control spaces.

If the ship is being shown in the scale some claim it will be I expect large rooms in general. I don't see us seeing any lowly crewmembers quarters however.

Glad to hear they learned from that little incident where Ensign Ricky had to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and opened the wrong airlock hatch.
