Interior Designs??

Hello all!

I have found a lot of new designs for starships in this thread, a lot of which are very beautiful, but has anyone tried interior design?

I've seen a lot of alternatives to the JJ Enterprise, for example, but what's inside them and indeed other ships? What different bridges could be built in particular? Not just for the Enterprise but for other ships I've seen some 'fan bridges' before but not many. I thought there would be more.

I know most people can't get enough of ships in space - and I do love them; cannot get enough of the 'Prelude to Axanar' trailer! But my interest with Trek design seems to be more sets an costume.

I've always been fondest of this bridge. ;)

I'm working on an animated web series "Star Trek: Perseus". Here is the ship and some WIPs of the bridge...

That's some amazing design work, I look forward to seeing this, would look great from real none animated point of view

I've done some interior design - both for Axanar and my planned fanfilm film "Pacific 201"
Here's a view of the bridge of the Pacific:

And I also spent a great deal of work trying to plot out the bridge from the USS Kelvin:

I like this one very much because it's nice and bright and "open" feeling. Something I think would be used for main travel corridors and in the living areas of the ship to reduce feelings of claustrophobia.

and something more like this for "working" areas of the ship, like the Engineering section.

I like this guy's take on a refit Connie Engineering:

This last guy's stuff is just exquisite. Look for little tweaks to the details. Master link only because so many good images.

Wanted to do a fan film about a smaller TOS era Starflet vessel, and didn't have the space for the usual round-ish bridge. I needed something that could be built in my very limited, very rectangular basement. Came up with this:

The angled wall/ceiling at the front of the set not only added character that a standard right-angle joint wouldn't have, but there were heating ducts hanging down in that part of the basement, that I had to build around anyway. That hallway behind the bridge supposedly led to a ready room in one direction, and the turbo-lifit and head in the other. In reality, led to the steps from the basement to the left, and the laundry room and utility room to the right.

Never got built, but maybe someday.

That gangway project is fabulous, even better than I envisioned it in my head all those years ago!

It does emphasis the rather silly nature of the concave hull though ;-)

For my (fantasy) ship I designed a few rooms as well. A new bridge (heavily influenced by the odyssey-bridge from Star Trek online)

Or a new hangar bay

Lessee...

4 helms, 2 of everything else (nav, comms, engineering, tactical, etc.), 3 warp cores and you repair Nova-class-sized starships in the hangar...

Ermmm...

Just how big is that ship anyway?

Beautiful sketches, BTW. Would love to see these things rendered.

I've been following Donny for some months, too. His work is fantastic, and I think it's great that he's creating his interiors for a game engine! I'd love to walk through those interiors.

I've been looking for a project to start for a long time. Last night I had an epiphany. I don't know how far I'll get, but I'll re-imagine some Trek interiors.

It would be nice if they could be used for an animated story someday.

Barely an idea at this point:
