Definitely a new toy line waiting to happen. A miniture Tardis with a real life size Doctor peaking out when opening the door! XD
Not sure about the non-consensual hacking of the optic nerve. But I like how unconcerned Clara sounds in contrast to the Doctor.
I love how she just casually puts the mini-TARDIS in her purse.
Clara has to poop. Hilarity ensues.
It's interesting how moments after Clara wonders if She's the Doctor now that the Doctor patches into her optic nerve. Is this going to be a big role reversal episode where the Doctor is forced to into the less powerful role of the companion?
...you mean like the entire Moffat era up till now...?
I think, at this stage, she finds it funny. I mean, the Doctor in a teeny TARDIS...what's not the find funny outside of any end of the universe context?
Oddly. just based on what we've seen of this Doctor, I could totally see this happening in 1975 or 1976 with Tom Baker and Elisabeth Sladen as Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith. Sarah would probably be just as amused by a tiny TARDIS with the Doctor looking out at her.

I am learning from the commentary for Classic Doctor Who that some of the original cast and crew have reservations about the new series. They feel that the dynamic between the Doctor and the companions has changed. They don't understand why the Doctor would be lonely - he could go anywhere and get a companion. They, also, felt that he should be somewhat aloof from his companions and be above romantic feelings. (Commentary - "Doctor Who and the Silurians")
I am sure Clara will want the hack removed before her next date with Danny.
From those "on location" photos we saw some time ago, I gather the TARDIS steadily shrinks in this scene. Clara manages to exit and the Doctor attempts to leave, struggling within the doorway of a 1/3 scale police box to no avail (as depicted in those photos. He has to move back before getting crushed as the exterior contracts to the roughly 1/12th scale artifact we see the clip.

1. We aren't making TV the same way we did decades ago. Audience have different expectations and appetites. So. yeah. things change. Nothing wrong with that. I don't mind that he's more involved in his companions. They are also more fully written than in the classic series. They aren't just exposition machines anymore.
2. Of course, the Doctor would feel lonely. The Fourth Doctor goes on how unique he is, he's much older than the people around him, he walks through time and space. He can't grow old with any of his companions, they'll turn to dust before he'll ever die. That sounds like a lonely horrible experience, all of your relationships would be temporary.
So, while I respect the original actors, I disagree with them.
I have the feeling from reading the posts on this site that it is thought that it is only a subset of fans who have reservations about the new Doctor Who. I attempted to demonstrate that it isn't only the fans who have reservations - some of the original crew and cast of Doctor Who have the same reservations. I should have included that in the original post.
