Germany has also been hit pretty hard by the winter.. much more so than in years past.
I live in a region that on average tends to be amongst the warmest in Germany due to its geography but for the past few weeks it was snow, ice, the occasional thaw (with all the dirty snow slush lying around.. yuck!) and snow again.
County winter services are working at capacity and after Christmas i promptly came late for work because i had to free my car from 10 inches of snow and ice.
Last time we had true winters was when i was a little kid so something has definitely changed.
However i get a great kick out of idiots who deny climate change or global warming by pointing out the insane winter conditions faling to understand climate and weather science. Point it out to them in basic terms and they stomp off in a sort of insulted way and you can clearly see they still don't believe you and it's all some liberal/intellectual conspiracy.
