Insurrection Extended Soundtrack..?

I love Goldsmith scores, so when I read about a so called "bootleg" soundtrack here:

http://www.filmtracks.com/titles/star_trek9.html

I have no idea how the extended soundtrack is "bootlegged" ( it's a film score, how the hell?) but I'm dying to get my hands on this thing any way I can. Does anyone have this CD, and if so how'd you get it?

A "bootlegged" piece of music is not authorized by the copyright owner - and the composers, musicians and singers on the product receive absolutely no royalty on sales (or free distribution). Additionally, the existence of bootleg recordings will reduce demand that the original work would ever get a future commercial release.

Probably someone working for Paramount or Goldsmith accessed their private music library and copied it. Sometimes a bootleg is an illegal recording of a live concert, but it can also be any unauthorized copy of a musical work.

Bootlegs are illegal and not something we're supposed to talk about.

As for the source, it can be many things:

Someone got the masters from the vault,
Someone who worked with himn got a copy and leaked it,
Someone working on the mastering of the score during recording, might have made themselves a copy.

Or someone who bribed someone else...
I've learned a lot watching fandubs of Sailor Moon on YouTube.

Or someone wanted their complete works to be heard, after getting paid for the initial release... :vulcan:
