Instead of the Maquis

Just had another thought:bolian:

What if the starfleet ship was the smaller of the two ships that ended up in the Delta quadrant.

Say a small federation frigate fallows a Norexan-class Warbird.

You could have a romulan captain and a Human 1st officer.

Would be nice flying through the Delta quadrant in this-

^interesting idea.

Andorians. that woulda given us some good opportunity for conflict.

Why? they'repart of the federation.

'cause they're like angry and stuff. and despite the fact they're members of the Federation, Andorians are an 'alpha' species and always want to be in charge. if they had to join Janeway's crew, I doubt they'd be happy 'bout it.

and I don't think there's many in Starfleet. in fact, I've only seen one in a Starfleet uniform, and that was in TAS. and I'm pretty sure he was an aenar. so if Voyager was pursuing an Andorian ship, it could've been part of the Imperial Guard, not a Federation ship.

Cardassians. AND maquis.

Now that would have been something.

I mean, what if they had found the crew of the Vetar (Gul Evek's ship from the pilot) somewhere along the line? (The Vetar was not explicitly shown as being pulled into the Delta Quadrant - all we saw is it getting hit by an energy bolt - but it could later have been retconned that way.) How would a half-Maquis crew adjust to having Cardassians on board? There woulda been some great conflict there.

Cardassians already got the lion's share of exposure on DS9 and TNG. I still think we were due for Romulans being explored more.

^ That's why I liked "Eye of the Needle" so much. It starred a Romulan who was a very decent sort of person (not a military commander, just a scientist who misses his family) and who is ultra cool simply by virtue of being played by Vaughn Armstrong. :techman:

(That scene at the end where Tuvok reports that the Romulan died four years ago... :( )

I liked having the Marquis, but it would've been interesting to see the conflict of the two crews stretch out a bit longer.

However, it would've also been interesting to see the conflicts and problems had it been another Federation ship, like in the episode Equinox.

Pakleds.

Every week Janeway devises a new plan to get rid of them, but it backfires.

The series ends with the Pakleds getting home and Voyager still in the Delta Quadrant.

Borg lol. i know stupid answer but everyone keep saying romulans and ferengi and cardassians so yeah i was getting a lil annoyed with the repeatition.
