I think the longest binge watch I ever did was to watch twenty two episodes of Veronica Mars over a weekend once. A friend had recommended it and the next season was starting a few days later.

I think that was a bit too much of a binge watch.

I prefer to watch things at my pace, so typically I will hold back on watching until I have an entire season available.

So I find myself in that odd place of being both very patient - I'll happily wait the full 12+ months for, say, Game of Thrones, to return and then fully play its new season out - AND incredibly impatient - having got all the episodes I will then regularly burn through them at a very rapid rate, sometimes devouring an entire season of TV in a single rest day.

I have in fact watched the first three seasons of Orange is the New Black in three days over the space of three years. Similarly I waited for the full season of The Flash S1 and then watched the whole thing over a long weekend.

It does mean I go to extreme measures to avoid spoilers and I do not engage in TV show discussion very often, but I recall being very frustrated in the past with regular TV scheduling, getting 2-3 episodes here and there before yet another hiatus.

I generally watch shows instantly, as I don't wish to hear any spoilers, as I generally hear about them on FB before I get to watch them.

This was on DVD so one ep every 43 minutes.

I enjoy one episode a week rollout a because the anticipation is one of the small pleasures to distract you from stressors.
