Instances of Captains "owning" their opponents.

I still watch the above scene and think "Ohhhhh shit, Khan, you done fucked up now, buddy."

I love that. It's the same kind of geeky joy I got out of it when I was a kid.

Another from Babylon 5 (Severed Dreams):

Delenn - "This is Ambassador Delenn of the Minbari. Babylon 5 is under our protection. Withdraw or be destroyed."
Earth Force - "Negative. We have authority here. Do not force us to engage your ship."
Delenn - "Why not? Only one human captain has ever survived batthe with a Minbari fleet. He is behind me. You are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else!"

That one still gives me goosebumps!

Those are some great one's guys! If only Liam Neeson's character in "Taken" was a StarFleet captain:

Context: Some of Neeson's crew are kidnapped by some Romulan extremists.

Captain Neeson hailing Romulan ship: "I know who you are. I know what you want. If you are looking for reparations, I can tell you I don't have that authority. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my crewmen go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. "

*end of the episode*

Romulan leader wounded, after Neeson frees his captured crewmen and has the Romulan at Phaser-point: "Please understand... it was just orders. It wasn't personal."
Captain Neeson: "It was personal to me." *zap*(Ok, it would take place in the Mirror universe lol)

Technically not the Captain, but some classic Kira from the DS9 episode “Shakaar”.

WINN (annoyed): What do you mean they're not your prisoners? What's going on?

SHAKAAR: I'm here to enter the election... as a candidate for the office of First Minister.

WINN: You have an interesting sense of humor.

KIRA: It's no joke. Shakaar's going to run in the election... and you're going to lose.

LENARIS: I've consulted with the other army commands and he has their full support.

WINN: So this is a coup.

KIRA: No. It'll be a free election... if you want to run, go ahead. But if you do, this entire incident will be made public. And when the people know the real facts -- when they know that you risked a civil war over a couple of pieces of farm equipment... they'll never trust you again. (beat) You're still the Kai... the "spiritual leader of Bajor." But your days in this office are numbered... so if I were you, I'd start packing.
