Inserrection Questions

Ok, so I am sitting here at work watching a marathon of movies and Currently in the middle of Inserrection. Two Questions

1: Geordi's eye. What happens to them after they leave the planet? He has inplants agian in Nemesis.

2: What is the registration number for the captains yacht? It looks like it reads NCC-1701 followed by two other charecters.

1. As LaForge speculated, the old damage to his optical nerves probably came back. That would be sort of logical if the local radiation didn't have "healing" properties as such, but rather "time-inverting" ones. Which would fit with how the locals can manipulate the perception of time, too.

2. It's just the registry of the mothership: NCC-1701-E

That is, the Yacht doesn't use the standard shuttlecraft registry scheme. In that one, the first part is the mothership registry, then a slash denotes an auxiliary, and the number after that tells which of the many auxiliaries this is - say, NCC-1701/5. For some reason, TNG didn't use this registry scheme for any of the auxiliaries; all simply had NCC-1701-E on them.
