Info on the Next Titan Novel: Fortune of War

I'd rather we go back to the 'character faces' covers of the first handful of Titan books, honestly. I realise it was quite a coup - not to mention a substantial promotional layout - to get a ship designed exclusively for the books, and they probably want to make the most of it. But this will make the fifth book in the series - and indeed fourth in a row - with the ship on the cover, and there are still plenty of the crew who we never got a good look at.

.
I don't mind the occasional ship cover, but a bit more variety would be nice. I still find it a bit annoying that Christine Vale has been around for 17 years now, and we've still never seen her on a cover.

I find it worrying she is around 17 years now. Is it just me or is time speeding up with each passing year cos I am sure she was just a new character five years ago? :alienblush:

I double checked before my post, and she was first introduced in SCE #1: Belly of the Beast, which came out in August of 2000.

That looks like a drawing to me, not a photo of an actual model.

I think they mean it's a rendering of a 3D digital model. One can do things to a digital model to make it look more "painted," but it's still a 3D wireframe underneath, so the proportions would be correct.

I believe you. Just hard to remember I was only 16 years old when she was introduced, and now I am not. :-(

Error or not, the Akira looks awesome on that cover. :bolian:

And even when it's fixed, that preview is on the Internet and will exist forever. :D

Wow. I was just thinking the other day how tired I am of ship covers, but this one is actually really cool. Definitely like that better than the Akira stand in cover they posted before.
